It's a Wrap!

I was sad to see Season 2 of the White Lotus come to an end last night and the main death was unexpected (at least for me). Spoilers ahead (but I'm sure if you got sucked into the show like I did, you watched the finale or have already read on social media who bit the dust). Say what you will about Mike White, but he knows how to crank out a good drama full of messy people and he's been on the Hollywood grind for a while now. I remember seeing his movie Chuck and Buck years ago. I should probably watch that again. I remember it being oddly interesting.

But back to the White Lotus. Oh, Tanya. Say it ain't so! I didn't see her demise coming. I figured Jennifer Coolidge would keep showing up in every season of the White Lotus, but White killed her off in Season 2. No, "the gays" didn't actually murder her, but watching her die accidentally seemed like the right way for her to go out based on her character. At least she let Portia know about Jack and his "uncle" before she bit the dust. I couldn't figure out why, once confronted with the truth, Jack still didn't just come clean and admit that Quentin wasn't really his uncle. (Hell, maybe he really was his uncle! What do I know?)

I was done with the whole Cameron/Ethan/Harper/Daphne quadrangle by the last episode. (Before that actually.) I didn't give two shits what happened to these folks because they annoyed the hell out of me. I was also tired of the "escorts" storyline by the end. They got far more screen time than they should have. I understand they were integral to many of the plot lines, but still. Enough already. Also, did Albie learn anything or is the moral of his story once a sap, always a sap?

So Greg gets away with murder? That doesn't seem right. On to Season 3, I guess. If I drop HBO Max before then I guess I'll have to resubscribe!
